Edmar Geraldo Oliveira comenta que os fatores principais que influenciaram na decis\u00e3o da escola de S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Evangelista aderir ao IFMG foram a quest\u00e3o geogr\u00e1fica, ou seja, a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o da Reitoria em Belo Horizonte, e a identidade cultural que seria mantida j\u00e1 que o CEFET\/Bambu\u00ed seria uma das institui\u00e7\u00f5es formadoras do IFMG e que mantinha seu perfil com cursos e itiner\u00e1rios formativos tamb\u00e9m ligados \u00e0 \u00e1rea
